Time for a wee update
~ In development: The new Bloomsbury Handbook of Pragmatics, Prosody, and Gesture Studies, co-edited with Mary Edward, explores the interconnection of pragmatics, prosody, and gesture across diverse communicative contexts, showcasing their joint role in (a)typical, signed, and multilingual interactions. We’re super excited to be working with Bloomsbury Academic on this project and together with our 20+ fabulous contributors!
~ CfP: I’m guest-editing the Corpus Pragmatics Special Issue Corpus Pragmatic in Forensic Contexts ; I’m inviting papers applying a Corpus Pragmatics approach to investigative and forensic text/discourse analysis, within Forensic Linguistics, including investigations into the detection of discursive deception and manipulation. Deadline: 31 Dec. 2025 ✍️
